Award-Winning Stories
Since its first issue in 1993, FLUX, the student-produced magazine of the School of Journalism at the University of Oregon, has reported on and examined issues of concern to residents of Oregon and the greater northwest. With compelling writing, photography, and design, FLUX brings the people, the places, the issues of our region to life.
For its exceptional journalism, the magazine frequently has been recognized by some of the nation’s leading journalism award programs. For instance, FLUX has won 16 Crown awards given by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA). And our 2021 story “Word on Davis Street” received the prestigious Ernie Pyle Human-Interest Profile award given by the Associated College Press.
Below are the awards won for work in the 2021 issue and beyond.
